Phonics Partner Games to Practice Word and Sentence Reading
Do you need some fun ways for your students to practice reading phonics patterns during your literacy centers? These Partner Phonics Games are a great way to engage your kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students during literacy centers.

The Phonics Partner Games include word-reading and sentence-reading activities and move from simple phonics patterns to complex phonics patterns.

Included in the Partner Phonics Games are 8 phonics games with slight variations in some of the games. Games include:
- Spin, Read, Color #1 – Students read words.
- Spin, Read, Color #2 – Students read words with extended gameplay.
- Roll, Read, Color #1 – Both students read the same sentences.
- Roll, Read, Color #2 – Students read separate sentences.
- Four-in-a-Row – Students read words to make four-in-a-row.
- Dots & Boxes – Students read words to claim squares.
- Cover Up – Read 1-3 words at a time, depending on the number spun.

Placing the games in sheet protectors and using whiteboard markers cuts down on photocopies and allows quick and easy repeated gameplay.
