Egg Rhyming Sort
Decide whether you will use the basket or egg sorting mats. If using the sorting mats, print enough copies for the number of rhyming sets you are using.
Alternatively, you can use real easter baskets, regular baskets, or DIY “nests” made out of crumpled paper bags.
Print the egg pages. Laminate for extended use.
When introducing the activity take time to discuss the vocabulary for each object pictured on the eggs so kids are familiar.
You can make the eggs self-checking by stamping or adding a matching sticker to the back of each set.
For kids who are ready to stretch and spell CVC words, let them write some of the rhyming words on a piece of paper or in a writing journal.
