*Disclosure: I was asked for an honest review of The Waldock Way’s Santa’s Tasty Trip Around the World. I was compensated for my time. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only choose to share resources that I would use with my own family and those that I believe other families will enjoy and benefit from.

My daughter LOVES Christmas time. Bring on the soft lights, Christmas tree, and holiday decorations. She loves it all. So much so that she wants to put up the Christmas tree and sing Christmas carols in October. After a challenging year, I’m all for bringing the holidays home earlier than usual.

Though not putting up the tree in October. We always get a live one, which doesn’t last that long.

My daughter has already started to learn to play Christmas carols on the piano, so she’ll be ready for Christmas day. She’s planning decorations of cranberries, popcorn, and evergreen.

Seriously, folks. She’s obsessed with Christmas, and I’m OK with that!

While I try to keep the tree from going up before November, she was beyond thrilled to get her hands on The Waldock Way’s Santa’s Tasty Trip Around the World.

Why I LOVE The Waldock Way’s Santa’s Tasty Trip Around the World

My daughter and I love the Waldock Way’s Santa’s Tasty Trip Around the World because it’s so easy to use and full to the brim with delicious and easy-to-make Christmas cookie recipes.

  • Most recipes are short and easy enough that you could make several cookie recipes in one day, make one recipe per day OR make a single recipe each week. This unit study would make a great Advent to count down to Christmas by making a different cookie each day.
  • The information on each geographical area is short, but you can dive deeper with the additional book list provided.
  • I love that after each treat, there is a writing prompt asking your child if they enjoyed the treat Santa eats there! For the most part, our treats have all been successes. However, nobody liked the Japanese Christmas cake which was sad because it was so beautiful. Hint it needed sugar added to the whipped cream. The absolute favorite in our house so far has been the Christmas Island Coconut cookies, the Mexican Wedding cookies, and the Brazilian Brigadeiro fudge-like sweet.
  • You can bounce around and dive into whichever geographical locations strike your fancy!

We can’t wait to continue our geographical explorations with Christmas cookies from Denmark, Norway, and South Africa next! Seriously folks, Santa’s Tasty Trip Around the World is as delicious as it is educational. Your kiddos are gonna love it!
